Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is directed by Robert Rodriguez who co-wrote the script with William Monahan (The Departed) and Frank Miller, creator of the graphic novel series and co-director of the first film. Dwight (Josh Brolin) is hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord (Eva Green), and then watches his life go straight to hell. Chronologically, this story takes place prior to “The Big Fat Kill” (seen in the first Sin City) and explains how Dwight came to have a dramatically different face. Jessica Alba, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Mickey Rourke, Juno Temple, Jaime King, Rosario Dawson and many others star in the film being shot in 3D and Dimension Films will send the sequel to theaters on August 22nd this summer.

Coinciding with the release of the soccer-inspired “NTRNTNL” collection from Stussy is a collaborative edition of the G-Shock‘s DW-5600. Following the debut of the predominately black “Checker” edition of the watch, the “NTRNTNL” edition sees a predominately white aesthetic along with custom packaging and a matching graphic-emblazoned band inspired by the patterns of the collection. Fresh off Apple’s latest iOS update and an uncertain time in wearable technology, substantiated rumors from Japanese newspaper Nikkei have cited that Apple is solidifying its plans to launch the iWatch*. The sources mention that the curved OLED touchscreen watch will run the newly minted iOS 8 and bring with it a series of apps and extensions from Apple’s preexisting ecosystem that has embraced fitness and tracking. Other rumors mention two sizes are in the works, 1.3 inches and 1.5-1.7 inches, both of which should start production in September for an October launch. SOURCE: Hypebeast

The Equalizer is directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, Shooter, Olympus Has Fallen) and written by Richard Wenk (The Expendables 3, The Mechanic). Denzel Washington plays McCall, a former black ops commando who has faked his death to live a quiet life in Boston. When he comes out of his self-imposed retirement to rescue a young girl, Teri (Chloë Grace Moretz), he finds himself face to face with ultra-violent Russian gangsters. As he serves vengeance against those who brutalize the helpless, McCall’s desire for justice is reawakened. If someone has a problem, the odds are stacked against them, and they have nowhere else to turn, McCall will help. He is The Equalizer. Columbia opens the film in theaters September 26th.
Charlotte-based skate shop Black Sheep goes digging in the crates for their “Paid in Full” spin on the Nike SB Dunk High. Inspired by 80s hip-hop while offering entendres, this pair combines both cardboard cultures for a track suit take on the SB Dunk. Gucci-derived SB styling on the upper harkens Dapper Dan, while green and red accents carry the same motif. Gold rope debrays match that of the branding, with black trim filling out the remains of the model. Louis Vuitton celebrates their iconic Monogram via an upcoming collaboration with six renowned and creative iconoclasts. Masters from a range of disciplines, including Christian Louboutin, Cindy Sherman, Frank Gehry, Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Newson and Rei Kawakubo, have each been given carte blanche to create a personally-inspired bag and/or a piece of luggage, using the French fashion house’s Monogram.
The project was initiated by Delphine Arnault, Executive Vice President of Louis Vuitton, and Nicolas Ghesquiere, Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director of Women’s Collections.
